Senior Analytics Engineer

Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent

Additional Benefits: Shares in Dynamon; Generous pension; Epic team; Healthcare

Dynamon is looking to hire a highly-driven senior analytics engineer to lead analytics development bringing exciting new AI products to market that will help the world’s largest road transport operations eliminate their CO2 emissions.

Dynamon is a data analytics company developing AI tools for the commercial transport industry to help fleets make smarter procurement decisions. Road transport is going through an enormous transformation with rapid developments in vehicle technology to reduce CO2 emissions. This presents a huge challenge to commercial fleets who have processes and business models optimised for previous generation vehicle technology.

Dynamon’s software tools enable fleet teams to easily identify the optimum new vehicle solutions specific to their operations to minimise both cost and environmental impact. This new disruptive approach to fleet procurement is being used by some of the largest fleets in Europe and resulting in huge cost savings and CO2 reductions. With high demand for its services Dynamon is expanding the engineering team to boost distribution of its tools and bring new features to market.

Working closely with the analytics and software teams, the focus of your role will be developing cutting edge data modelling and analysis techniques. You will be highly involved in developing Dynamon’s new flagship product ZERO that models the transition of fleets from diesel to electric vehicles, alongside utilising and refining Dynamon’s product suite. As a growth stage start up, your role at Dynamon is also flexible to your unique skillset and interests, including but not limited to: opportunities to develop software skills by creating data visualisations and calculation tools on Dynamon’s web platform, opportunities to develop technical communication skills through publications and marketing material, opportunities to develop creative problem-solving skills by working closely with customers to solve their unique analytical challenges. Just let us know what additional skills you bring or are developing, and we can put them to use!

A background in STEM subjects, analytical problem-solving skills, and experience in data interpretation are essential for a successful candidate. Experience developing quantitative models of ‘real-world’ physical objects and scenarios is required. Also desirable are experience with Python or other equivalent scripting languages, experience processing big data and working with databases, an understanding of statistical techniques, confidence working in a small team, and experience communicating technical results to varied audiences.

Dynamon provides an environment which enables you to do your best work and will support you in your career development journey through training and ownership of projects. We have a supportive working environment and provide personalised benefits. Employee benefits include, healthcare, childcare vouchers, flexible working patterns, the cycle to work scheme, as well as drinks delivered to your door! Company away days have included diving trips and climbing around the South coast of England. If you have any questions, please get in touch – we will be able to sort out something!

Please send your CV and a cover note explaining why you want to work for Dynamon to hello@dynamon.co.uk. You must have the right to work in the UK. If you would like to provide evidence of your previous work, we would be interested to take a look. No recruiters.
