Fleet Decarbonisation Planning
Independent analysis that helps fleets decarbonise for minimum cost.
Two levels of support
Choose a clearly defined standard report, or a bespoke programme for large and complex fleets.
Standard decarbonisation planning reports
Accessible planning for fleets or fleet subsets of up to 300 vehicles — particularly suitable for SMEs, regional fleets and larger operators analysing a defined part of their operation.
View standard reportsBespoke programmes for large fleets
Custom decarbonisation programmes for major operators, public-sector organisations and complex multi-site fleets with hundreds or thousands of vehicles.

Analysis for any fleet operation
We provide decarbonisation planning across vehicle classes and sectors — from small cars and vans through to heavy goods vehicles.
- Small car and small van fleets
- Parcel delivery van fleets
- Local authority and council fleets
- Blue light fleets
- Bus and coach fleets
- Refuse collection
- Heavy goods vehicle operators
If you operate a commercial or public-sector fleet, we can analyse it.
Dynamon is a recognised UK public sector supplier on multiple procurement frameworks.

Powered by ZERO
Leveraging our in-house ZERO software
By leveraging our in-house software, we use automation and can deliver deeper insights at a better value for money than traditional consultancies.
- Physics-based simulation grounded in vehicle dynamics — not spreadsheet averages.
- Every route modelled, rather than relying on a single average duty.
- Worst-case duty cycles analysed, not just the mean — so recommendations hold under real operational stress.
- Automation that delivers deeper insight at better value than traditional consultancies.
Standard reports
Fleet decarbonisation planning reports
A standardised and accessible planning service for fleets of all sizes — especially SMEs, regional fleets and larger operators that want to analyse a defined part of their operation.

What the report provides
Clear answers to the main questions a fleet needs to resolve before investing.
Vehicle feasibility
Which vehicles can be electrified, which electric vehicle types best suit the operation, and the optimum battery size — so you avoid overspending on batteries that are too large while ensuring the vehicle can still complete the fleet’s duty cycles.
Rollout strategy
Which vehicles should change first, when replacement should happen and how the rollout should be phased.
Charging and depot infrastructure
The number, type and power of chargers required, the grid connection needed to support them where grid capacity is known, and whether battery energy storage can help avoid costly grid upgrades.
Alternative technologies
Suitable lower-carbon fuels or powertrains where battery-electric operation is not currently practical.
Financial implications
The expected total cost of ownership and investment requirements.
Carbon impact
Projected carbon-emission savings from the recommended strategy.
Typical delivery is around six weeks from receiving the required fleet data.
Pricing
Transparent pricing by fleet size — from £4,990.

Bespoke programmes
Planning for large, complex and multi-site fleets
Dynamon delivers custom decarbonisation programmes for major fleet operators, public-sector organisations and complex multi-site fleets — covering thousands of vehicles, multiple vehicle classes and large numbers of depot locations.
We work with sustainability and fleet teams to understand exact requirements, so programmes can deviate from our standard offering where that is what the organisation needs.
Work may include detailed vehicle-level feasibility analysis, depot-by-depot charging design, electrical demand modelling, grid-capacity assessment, phased investment planning, alternative-fuel analysis and national or regional rollout strategies.
From analysis to procurement readiness
Both our standard reports and more complex analysis are designed to get fleets ready to buy — informed, specific and confident about what to procure.
- Defining vehicle and charger requirements.
- Understanding power requirements at each depot.
- Supporting engagement with distribution network operators.
- Assessing grid-upgrade costs and lead times.
- Evaluating battery storage and solar generation.
- Obtaining accurate vehicle and infrastructure pricing.
- Supporting RFPs and procurement exercises.
- Developing phased implementation plans.

Why it matters
Independent advice
Our value is precise analysis — the capability to analyse complex fleet data and deliver objective insights that lead to the optimum solution for each customer, whether through electrification or alternative fuels.
We avoid optimism bias because we are not selling a follow-on vehicle, charger or energy product.
Analysis built on real operational requirements
Recommendations are based on how your fleet actually operates — not broad assumptions or mileage alone.
We integrate data from fleet telematics. Dynamon has extensively worked with telematics companies worldwide, developing almost 100 telematics API connections and establishing strong relationships across the sector. We can also integrate TMS route-planning data, and fleets can provide custom route definitions for more advanced analysis.
Analysis can use telematics data, mileage and fuel records, route and depot information, vehicle replacement schedules and energy data. Where full telematics data is unavailable, Dynamon can also use synthetic telematics and operational modelling.
Factors considered include:
- Distance and payload
- Route variability
- Dwell time and charging windows
- Shift patterns and seasonal peaks
- Vehicle availability
- Grid capacity

What we need from you
To get started on a standard report or bespoke programme, we typically need three core inputs.
- Telematics (or routing data if telematics unavailable)
- Fleet list
- Location / depot list
Where full telematics data is unavailable, we can still begin with synthetic telematics and operational modelling.
